Skype rolls out premium services, Cnet News.com, 15 Apr 2005

“Skype has enhanced its popular Net phone application with two new premium features: SkypeIn and Skype Voicemail. SkypeIn allows users to buy up to three phone numbers in eight countries. People can call them at those numbers from standard or mobile telephones. Skype Voicemail, as the name implies, records messages from callers.�

Microsoft, Yahoo Join Blogging Craze , Yahoo.com, 15 Apr 2005

“Yahoo and MSN both let you post from a mobile phone, but MSN lets you do it from any e-mail account by sending a message to an address only you know. MSN gives you a few features that most veteran blog services don't even offer. Battle Against Spam Shifts to Containment, Yahoo.com, 15 Apr 2005

“There's a new strategy in the spam battle: Call it containment. Filters for blocking junk e-mail from inboxes have improved to the point that doing much more will needlessly kill legitimate e-mail. EarthLink Inc., for instance, is phasing in a requirement that customers' mail programs submit passwords before it will send out their e-mail.�

“Spam volume in the month of March declined very slightly to 87 percent of all messages according to Postini Volume was 88 percent in February. On a year-over-year basis, March spam volume grew 10 percent. Despite spam's apparent growth, it isn't as "bad" this year as it was in 2004.�
