New Bagle variants spreading, InfoWorld, 31 May 2005

“MessageLabs found about 145,000 copies of just one of the new Bagles download variants. The first Tuesday variant appeared to start on a Yahoo Inc. Web mail account. Symantec Corp. also report seeing at least one new Bagle variant Tuesday, but found the worm was spreading less quickly than MessageLabs reported.”

Blank virus blanks email, Register, 31 May 2005

“A new version of the Bagle Downloader is spreading like wildfire via email, according to email filtering firm MessageLabs. MessageLabs has intercepted almost 70,000 copies since the arrival of the virus at lunchtime on Tuesday. The virus appears to have originated from a Yahoo! group.”

Skype, Tom offer interactive services, SCMP.com, 1 June 2005
